Captain Cristóbal, originally from Mamutupu Island, is the new captain of the Swala. As a member of the Guna people, his connection to the sea and the islands runs deep. At just 28 years old, he has a long history in Guna Yala and several years sailing on charter boats. He is fluent in the Guna language and has excellent connections with locals.

Lucia, from Argentina. A multifaceted artist.
I was the owner of a cultural restaurant bar, where I combined my two passions: art and cooking.
This is my second year in San Blas, where I fell in love with life at sea. I enjoy welcoming and entertaining visitors with exquisite dishes, made with love and dedication.
I have experience with seafood, gluten-free, and vegetarian dishes.

We are Natalia and William, both from Colombia, united by a deep connection with the sea.
William is an experienced captain with extensive knowledge of the San Blas Islands, focused on safety and comfort.
Natalia brings warmth and attention to every detail on board, creating a welcoming atmosphere for each journey.

Greg & Pauline

Captain Gregory Sobarzo, 47 years old, Chilean. Greg comes from a family of sailors, has lived and worked on boats since he was a child and has enough miles on sailboats to sail around the world a few times. He has sailed extensively in Europe and the Caribbean, as well as from San Diego to Chile, and has been sailing on the Colombia-Panama route since 2016.
He is passionate about freediving, bodyboarding and water sports in general. He is a native Spanish speaker, fluent in English and is learning German.
Pauline is French, 36 years old and has been in love with Sanblas for 7 years. She is very cheerful and dynamic, adaptable, loves nature and cooking is a real pleasure! He believes that the cuisine provides 50% of the onboard experience and it is essential that people leave the ship having had the best trip of their lives.

Lucio, Christoph, Carolina and Alicia

The Lagoon 56 Catamaran has a crew of professionals, under the guidance of Lùcio, an experienced captain, knowledgeable about the most beautiful islands and the best places to snorkel.  Chef Alicia focuses on preparing international cuisine, with Asian and Caribbean fusion; Use fresh, local and excellent quality products.  Carolina, the dedicated and charismatic host, attentive to every detail.  Christoph is a first officer and engineer, he is versatile and takes care of machines and equipment. 
Essentially attentive, friendly and multicultural: they speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German and Cantonese.

Lucio Spanghero, an experienced captain, of Brazilian origin, has sailed around the world, and has been in San Blas for more than 7 years. Get to know the most beautiful islands in the area, and it will take you to white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, and snorkeling in wonderful corals with abundant marine life.

Alicia, a chef of Chinese origin born in Panama, with more than 16 years of experience in gastronomy, specializing in Asian, Mediterranean and Caribbean cuisine.

Carolina: Graduated in tourism and hospitality, she stands out for her attention to detail and her commitment to customer satisfaction, ensuring that each need is attended to promptly and kindly.

Christoph, our first officer and engineer, of German origin, who guarantees good navigation on the water. He also looks after the engine room and all the technical aspects of the boat

Your captain ( one of the owners of Marea) place great importance on a harmonious atmosphere and ensure that everyone on board feels comfortable and safe.
He enjoys sharing the joy of sailing and the love for nature with his fellow travelers, whether it's discovering new reefs, enjoying spectacular sunsets, or having a communal dinner under the starry sky of San Blas. Snorkeling is one of his favorites activities, and always bring his guest to the best reefs, where you can captivate yourself with the beauty and exotic marine life here. 
In case that snorkeling is not for you, you can fish and enjoy the tranquility and relaxation of these waters while you wait for the next catch. Whether you wish to enjoy these activities or the relaxed atmosphere of sailing, he is always ready to help you to make your vacation unforgettable.

He has a great connection with the local Guna people and is a very active person.
He’s happy to teach you some Guna language and culture.
If you are into playing volleyball and snorkelling, he knows just the right spots to take you.

Mónica, sailor-cook, is from Spain.
She is an experience cook who owned a restaurant in Bocas del Toro, Panama.
She started working on boats 3 years ago. She love to cook with all the fresh seafood that San Blas has to offer.
She speaks Spanish, English and German.

Chalss your captain; a sailor with 20 years of experience at sea, sailing teacher, diver, and chef.

Maria your hostess; a Yoga teacher who will keep you in a safe and comfortable environment.
You will have a combination of daily yoga, relaxation, inner stillness, exploration of the reefs with guided snorkeling full of beauty, and sailing trips to the most beautiful islands throughout the San Blas archipelago.

Boris

The Lagoon 57N has a young, enthusiastic crew with lots of energy.

All your recreational activities will be guided by Captain Boris, a 29-year-old, highly experienced Argentine sailor who has sailed thousands of kilometers from Argentina to Panama. For him, guiding is instinctive and he will always do his best to make you feel at home and discover the most fascinating things in San Blas.

Then we have José, a 28-year-old Salvadoran who is always attentive and always takes care of the cleanliness and needs of the boat.

Finally, we have Kaila in the kitchen, a 25-year-old Australian chef who will surprise you with exquisite dishes created with great detail, flavor and love.

Second season in San Blas, knowledgeable about Kuna culture and customs, as well as the islands and cays.

Hortens is a French chef, passionate about responsible cooking, experimenting primarily with vegetarian recipes.
Her approach is based on natural, local, and seasonal ingredients, respecting the balance between flavor, health, and the environment.
Inspired by both French and Central American culinary traditions, she creates dishes full of freshness and harmony, where sustainability is as important as the pleasure of eating well.

Sol & Luis

Luis, a 36-year-old Argentinian, arrived in San Blas in 2014 sailing from Colombia.
Sol, a Panamanian, arrived three years ago sailing from Bocas del Toro.
We are two people who love nature, travel, and new life experiences. We have been sailing in San Blas for several years and will show you the most beautiful corners of this paradise.

Luis Capitán, a lover of the sea, surfing, and new things, will be your host, taking you sailing, showing you the best snorkeling spots, and the most beautiful beaches. Sol, a lover of literature and tattoos, will delight you with her exquisite cuisine full of details, love, and good flavor.

Captain Ahielen Medina has skippered vessels since 2011, first crossing the ocean from Colombia to Panama back and forth and as of the last 6 years mostly sailing around the San Blas islands.
She knows the area very well and is a great hostess. 
She hails from Argentina and will make sure your stay aboard Kaya is exceptional.

First mate and chef Gaston is a professional cook also from Argentina.
His easy going personality and great charm are a bonus because his food is outstanding.
You will really enjoy his thoughtfully prepared meals.
